Lahore, October 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi regarding the usefulness of local body system in which political and social personalities including chairman, vice chairman, councillors, local body representatives participated. The meeting formulated a plan of action for the solution of the basic problems of the people and orders were issued on the spot.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that corona virus is not completely eradicated yet that dengue is spreading with full force, corona virus is not visible but dengue is visible so appropriate arrangements should be made in time to control it. He said that Rescue 1122 service also played an important role in controlling the situation in Corona.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide relief and employment to the people who have to be brought out of the grip of inflation. He said that the previous governments neglected the welfare of the people for their own interests. The only solution to the basic problems of the people is the local government system.
This system has put the country on the path of peace and development. Their plight can be alleviated to some extent by providing facilities like clean water supply, sewerage drainage, construction of roads and streets and free treatment, that is why we have completed mega projects on priority basis, New Small Industrial Estate Phase-II Gujrat, Kathala Chenab to Service Moor Carpet GT Road, Service Moor Flyover and other development projects are in progress.
The meeting was attended by former Nazim Ch Asghar Ali, Amjad Pervez Butt, Usman Nasrullah Khokhar, Ch Husnain Asghar, Haji Manzoor Hussain Dar, Ch Saleem Kamboh, Ch Rashid Pannu, Ch Umar Sajid, Dr Ejaz Ahmed, Malik Ishaq Awan, Mian Pervez Akhtar Paganwala. Muhammad Arif Gujrati, Zafar Iqbal Rahmani, Ghiasuddin Pal and other leaders were present.
