Khairpur, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):A Concluding Ceremony of Three-Day Training Workshop on Explore More Fellowship Program organized by the Institute of Gender Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in collaboration with The Girls Rising, Karachi and Skills Academy, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor presided the ceremony.
Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said this three-day training workshop has developed the capacity building of the students of various Departments of the University. He said our students possess the capacity and skills to get the knowledge. My utmost priority is to provide conducive and congenial environment to the students and other stakeholders at the campus. He said there is hidden talent in the personality of students. SALU is shining day by day with the cooperation of the stakeholders. Vice Chancellor commended the efforts of Dr. Agha Nadia, Director Institute of Gender Studies and Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari for organizing such result-oriented workshop.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari said this capacity building workshop will pave the way in the grooming of the students. They learnt a lot as far as practical requirement is concerned. He said several co-curricular activities have been organized by the various Institutes and Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Dr. Agha Nadia briefed about the training workshop aimed at self-awareness, life skills, inspirational stories and how to students dream can come true. She said that the trainers also shared their vision for change, how they can earn the trust building of their stakeholders and to bring meaningful change in the society. She said after this three-day workshop, the participants of the workshop will interact with the community as part of their engagement with community. Ms. Iqra Rana and Ms. Nasreen Samad were the trainers of the workshop.
Prof. Dr. Iram Rani, Director QEC, Prof. Dr. Rahim Bux Soomro, Dr. Tasleem Alam Abro, Ms. Maria Isani, Mr. Zohaib Memon and large number of students from the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Institute of English, Department of Teacher Education, Institute of Gender Studies and Department of Pakistan Studies attended the concluding ceremony of the workshop. Ms. Paras Niaz conducted the proceedings of the ceremony. Shields and Certificates were distributed among the guests and participants.
