Khairpur, January 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Pre-Entry Test-2023 of Second Phase for admissions in various Institutes and Department for Bachelor and B.S Part-III Programs was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Main Campus and Ghotki Campus. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor visited the venue of the test.

While talking to the appearing candidates, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said you are lucky because you will acquire higher education at this prestigious institution. Dr. Ibupoto said that youth is the instrument of social change and development. You have to contribute positively in the nation building because you have to render future responsibilities and to you have to face several challenges in the society. Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur will provide you a peaceful, conducive and congenial environment in the academic pursuit, he added.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the various committees for the successful conduct of entry test. The 1350 candidates appeared in the test at Main Campus while more than 50 candidates appeared in the test at Ghotki Campus. Prof. Dr. Syed Maqsood Zia Shah, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ghotki Campus visited the venue of the test.

Khairpur, January 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):Ph. D Open Defense Seminar was held in the Department of Public Administration, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor. Mr. Ali Raza Lashari, Ph. D Research Scholar defended his research on the topic “Impact of Institutional Climate on Teachers’ Retention: A Comparative Study of Public and Private Higher Educational Institutions of Sindh” under the supervision of Dr. Nazar Hussain Phulpoto.

Addressing to the participants of seminar Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that the research work of scholar will strengthen the public and private Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) because the quality of the teaching faculty is an imperative for the nation building. He said the scholar has embarked research work in line with the minimum eligibility criteria of HEC.

Mr. Ali Raza Lashari said that the crux of my research is to improve the institutional climate so the retention of quality teachers in both public and private HEIs may be retained. He said there are different parameters for improving the institutional performance i.e. recognition, reward, career growth and compensation. He said it is an appropriate that conducive institutional climate must be maintained in public and sector HEIs. Prof. Dr. Amir Hussain Shar, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences said that the research work of the scholar will be beneficial in the field of Public Administration in the component of Human Resource Management.

Prof. Dr. Muqarrab Akbar from Bahaudin Zakariya University Multan and Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Dakhan from Sukkur IBA University, Sukkur also spoke on this occasion. They said that the research scholar has significantly delivered his Open Defense. The recommendations of the scholar are academic worthy. Prof. Dr. Syed Muneer Shah, Chairman Department of Public Administration and Dr. Nazar Hussain Phulpoto, Research Supervisor appreciated the research work presented by the scholar.

They said that the research work will be value-added for the Department of Public Administration. Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Director Postgraduate Studies conducted the proceedings of the seminar. The Open Defense was declared as successful. A large number of Faculty Members and Research Scholars attended the seminar.

Khairpur, January 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Director Postgraduate Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has announced that the date of submission of admission forms of M.S, M. Phil and Ph. D Programs in various Institutes and Departments is hereby extended up to January 27, 2023. The interesting candidates are advised to register themselves on http://dgps.salu.edu.pk/pgadmissionlogin and submit application forms and hard copies of certificates in the concerned Institutes and Departments up to due date.

It is recalled that Departmental Pre-Entry Test for cited programs will be conducted on February 07, 2023.

Khairpur, December 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Registrar Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has announced that the Point Buses of students plying from all designated routes will not play on Thursday and Friday on account of prearrangements of Pre-Entry Test-2023. It is recalled that the Pre-Entry Test-2023 will be held on Saturday December 17, 2022.

Khairpur, December 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):A meeting of the Organizing Committee for the smooth conduct of Pre-Entry Test-2023 scheduled to be held on Saturday December 17, 2022, was held at Vice Chancellor Secretariat chaired by Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed IPhoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, and Khairpur.

Talking to the participants of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said this is the mega academic event of the University. He said we are committed to provide quality education to the students of the region as well as countrywide. He stressed the need to take cognitive measures for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Pre-Entry Test of the B.S Part-I and B.S Part-III (5th Semester) Program.

After detailed deliberations, various decisions were made. It was decided that all the Faculty Members will perform their invigilation duties mandatory. Security cameras will be installed at the venue of the test. The appearing candidates will arrive and report at campus at 09:00 am. The test will start at 11:00 am positively. It was decided that the eligible candidates will download their admit slips from University website admission portal. The University will provide the stationary to the candidates. It was decided that the Grievances Redressed Cell will be established at the Department of Sindhi to redress the grievances of the candidates regarding their admissions. Syed Munir Shah Rashdi, I.T Manager along with Dr. Shahid Mahar will monitor the entire process.

It was decided that the Deans of the respective Faculties will ensure that their Faculty Members are present on the day of the test for invigilation purpose. It was decided that the Conveners of the sub-committees will convene the meetings of their respective committees on December 14, 2022. The meeting was attended by the Deans of Faculties, Conveners of various Committees and their Members.

Khairpur, November 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):The 4th Youth Literature Festival (YLF)-2022 inaugurated at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Prof. Dr. Akhtiar Ali Ghumro, Director Institute of Commerce jointly inaugurated the festival.

Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari said I am highly thankful to Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor who entrusted me to preside this event. He said that the poetry of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A) has vast and multidimensional societal aspects. Latif Sain is the poet of beauty, nature and struggle. His poetry is related with the masses. He was a great feminist; he presented the plight of women in his 7 Sormis. It is matter of great pleasure that the first session of the panel discussion of festival starts with the poetry of Shah Latif so the purpose of this panel discussion aimed at too aware the youth about the poetry of Shah Latif because it is the need of the time to promote the essence of message of Shah Latif among the youth.

Prof. Dr. Akhtiar Ali Ghumro said such types of festivals encourage students to participate in the healthy activities. The efforts of incumbent Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto are laudable for the youth. The Students Society Centre is a viable platform which provides learning environment for students. He accorded his cordial thanks to organizers of the festival.

Dr. Mahar Khadim, Dr. Allah Wasayo Soomro, Dr. Ruqaya Amur, Dr. Ibrahim Kharal, Mr. Hassan Shaikh, Mr. Khawand Dino Larik talked in the panel discussions on the “Study of Poetry of Shah Latif” and “Sindhi Literature, Prose and Poetry”. They said that Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is the poet of love, affection, harmony and beauty. His message is universal which is based on promotion of international peace and progress. They said that Latif connects the traditional folk tales with the divine love. Latif is regarded as the greatest Sufi poet of the Sindhi language. His poetry pertains to oppressed class and poor people.

Ms. Paras Niaz Khaskheli, Assistant Professor, Institute of English presented welcome note. She said the Youth Literature Festival is intends to organize to inculcating the idea of literature, education and entrepreneurship among the students. The credit goes to our Vice Chancellor for always supporting students of the University; it could only be possible because of his encouragement. She appreciated the untiring efforts of Organizing Committee for organizing this festival.

Mr. Ali Raza Lashari, Incharge Students Societies Centre extended vote of thanks to the guests and participants. He said under the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, the students are participating in co-curricular activities with enthusiasm. Mr. Amar Iqbal, Mr. Manzoor Lashari, Mr. Yaseen Junejo, Ms. Shumaila Rabab Rizvi, Ms. Asia Ruk, Mr. Salman Ali and large number of students attended the festival. Mr. Raheel Burdi, Mr. Ahsan Jamsheer, Mr. Muhammad Siddique Shar and their team were the organizers of the festival.
