Karachi, January 12, 2023 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had a meeting with US Ambassador Donald Bloom in Islamabad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, visa interview facilities for Pakistanis were discussed. Chairman Bilawal said that he had a detailed discussion with the US Secretary of State regarding visa facilities. This initiative will not only speed up the process of getting visas but also increase public communication. The US ambassador reiterated his commitment to continue supporting the people of Pakistan for the rehabilitation of the flood victims. The foreign minister appreciated the announcement by the United States of an additional 100 million dollars for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood victims at the Geneva conference.
British High Commissioner Dr. Christian Turner also had a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the foreign ministry. In the meeting, they discussed increasing bilateral cooperation in various fields including Pakistan-UK relations. The Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the announcement of additional assistance of 9 million pounds by the United Kingdom for the rehabilitation of flood victims. During the meeting, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the efforts of the British High Commissioner regarding climate change awareness in Pakistan. The Foreign Minister also expressed his best wishes for the British High Commissioner Christian Turner.
The Chinese ambassador, Nong Rong also paid a farewell visit to the Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Foreign Ministry. They discussed matters of mutual interests including the CPEC and cooperation in other fields. Chairman FM Bilawal appreciated the services of the Chinese ambassador for strengthening bilateral relations.
