India, The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has taken the live cricket-watching experience to new heights with the introduction of 14 Fan Parks across ten cities in India, ensuring fans who couldn’t make it to the host cities can still immerse themselves in the excitement of the game. The parks, accessible to the public at no cost, offer more than just live broadcasts of the matches on giant screens; they feature cricket skill activities, exciting prizes, and a lively atmosphere enhanced by DJs and MCs. Special family zones have been set up to accommodate cricket fans of all ages, where ICC Mascots Blaze and Tonk are available for meet and greets, adding a personal touch to the event.
According to a news release by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Fan Parks aim to bring the exhilarating ambiance of the biggest Cricket World Cup ever to a wider audience. For the India versus England match, fans in Agra and Surat will have the festival of cricket brought right to their communities. The following weekend, Kanpur and Vapi will host fan parks for India’s match against South Africa, with Kanpur also showing the England against Australia match. Previous Fan Park events in Mumbai, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Raipur, and Nagpur have successfully connected with new audiences and communities, significantly enhancing fan engagement and making the sport more accessible and enjoyable.
