Aseefa and Sanam Bhutto Visit Free Medical Camp at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh

Larkana, Embodying the legacy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Bibi Sanam Bhutto visited a Free Medical and Eye Treatment Camp at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. The camp, a collaborative effort between the Peoples Doctors’ Forum, SZABIST Foundation, and the Sindh Institute of Visual Sciences, concluded its three-day services on Friday.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, this visit marked a continuation of the philanthropic initiatives championed by their mother, the late Benazir Bhutto. The sisters expressed their gratitude to the organizers for effectively managing the camp and reiterated their commitment to supporting such humanitarian efforts.

The camp, which began on January 3, provided medical services to a large number of patients. It examined 956 eye patients, performed various eye operations on 153 individuals, and treated 480 patients for other ailments, all receiving necessary medications. This initiative aligns with the longstanding tradition of organizing medical camps in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, a practice that dates back to 1991, with this being the 32nd eye camp and the 16th medical camp since Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom.

A highlight of Bibi Aseefa Bhutto’s visit was her participation in the Polio Prevention program, where she administered vaccine drops to children, underscoring the importance of continued efforts in eradicating polio.

The visit also coincided with a celebration program for the birthday of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, facilitated by the Peoples Doctors Forum and SZABIST Foundation. The program featured a ceremonial cake-cutting event, attended by prominent PPP members, including Jameel Ahmed Soomro, Suhail Anwer Siyal, Khursheed Junejo, and others.

The camp and the accompanying celebrations demonstrate the Bhutto family’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and healthcare initiatives in Pakistan.
