KARACHI: The resignation of Lyari Town Chairman Nasir Karim from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has drawn sharp criticism from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), with Arslan Khalid, PTI Karachi's General Secretary, labeling it as evidence of the alleged failures and anti-people policies of the PPP. Khalid's remarks come amid growing dissatisfaction with the PPP's governance in Sindh.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khalid strongly condemned the PPP in his statement, asserting that Karim's resignation serves as a "charge sheet" against the corruption and incompetence associated with the 'Zardari mafia'. He accused the PPP of turning Lyari into ruins while failing to provide basic amenities like clean drinking water to its residents.
Khalid criticized the PPP's response to allegations of corruption and incompetence, arguing that the party only supports corrupt elements within its ranks. He suggested that the people of Lyari are becoming increasingly aware of these issues and are ready to hold the PPP accountable for years of mismanagement and exploitation.
