Multan: An eight-week U19 Skills Development camp has commenced in Multan, with 31 players participating. The camp aims to enhance the players' skills and fitness in preparation for their upcoming assignments, including a tour to England and the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup. The camp will conclude in August, after which Pakistan's U19 squad for the England tour will be announced.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the players will engage in training sessions at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre and participate in practice matches at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The Pakistan U19 team is set to play one four-day match and four one-day matches against England U19 from September 2 to 16. The camp also serves as preparation for the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup, where Pakistan is the defending champion.
Among the 31 players selected, 10 were part of the Pakistan U19's squad for the recent ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in Zimbabwe. Additionally, Abdul Subhan, Ali Raza, and Farhan Yousuf will join the camp from the NCA White-Ball Camp. The support staff includes Shahid Anwar as head coach and batting coach, along with specialized coaches for fast bowling, spin bowling, and fielding.
