KARACHI: Bilawal House spokesman Surendar Valasai has strongly condemned remarks attributed to Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi regarding Pakistan, labeling them as irresponsible and indicative of an extremist mindset under the BJP-RSS regime in India. He asserted that such statements are dangerous and could provoke unnecessary confrontation between the two nations.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Valasai emphasized that India should focus on resolving its internal social divisions rather than issuing threats against Pakistan. He stated that any aggression towards Pakistan would be met with a decisive response, as the nation stands united with its Armed Forces. He described Pakistan as a sovereign nuclear state capable of defending its territory.
Valasai criticized India for what he described as modern forms of apartheid, highlighting ongoing caste oppression, untouchability, and religious discrimination faced by minorities, including Dalits and Muslims. He called on the Indian leadership to prioritize protecting the rights of marginalized communities instead of threatening neighboring countries.
He further stated that the world is witnessing rising intolerance under the BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he referred to as the “Butcher of Gujarat.” Valasai assured that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue to expose what they perceive as aggressive posturing by the Indian government on both national and international platforms.
Valasai concluded by reiterating Pakistan’s desire for peace and regional cooperation, while warning that any aggression would be met with full force and national unity.
