Finance Minister Engages with Honeywell on Refinery Modernization and Energy Security

Washington, D.C: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, convened with a delegation from Honeywell Technologies, headed by Vice President and General Manager Barry Glickman, to discuss advancements in Pakistan's refinery sector and energy security.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on the proposed modernization and expansion of Pakistan's refinery infrastructure. The Finance Minister highlighted the potential benefits of Honeywell's initiatives, which aim to increase domestic refining capabilities and lessen dependence on imported petroleum resources.

The conversation also covered Honeywell’s technological solutions and the possibility of securing financing through the U.S. EXIM Bank, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, export credit agencies, and prominent international banks. The Finance Minister remarked that this initiative could bolster Pakistan's energy security, encourage industrial progress, and foster sustainable economic growth.
