ZHOB: Voter registration in the district of Zhob stands at 42% of its projected 2025 population, a figure that falls below the national average of 54%. This discrepancy highlights the challenges faced in achieving voter registration parity.

According to Free and Fair Election Network, these statistics were derived from district-wise electoral roll data released by the Election Commission of Pakistan on December 30, 2025. The statistics are cross-referenced with population estimates from the 2023 Digital Census, applying a 2.3% inter-censal annual growth rate to Zhob's base population to estimate its 2025 population at 372,242. The registration rate is calculated by dividing the number of registered voters, 156,879, by the estimated population.

The voter registration in Zhob includes 89,429 males, representing 57% of the registered electorate, and 67,450 females, representing 43%. The male voter registration rate is 44%, while female voter registration lags at 39%. This gender gap contributes significantly to Zhob's lower-than-average registration rate. Zhob ranks 111th out of 136 districts by population size nationally and 108th by voter registration rate. Within Balochistan, it ranks 13th out of 34 districts.

The principal reason for the low registration rate is a pronounced gender gap in voter registration. With 21,979 fewer female voters than males, women’s registration reflects only 39% of the estimated female population in Zhob. This gap is attributed to restricted mobility, lower female CNIC penetration, and social constraints on civic participation. Unlike in major cities where census enumeration effects account for registration discrepancies, Zhob's figures indicate genuine non-registration among women.

Efforts to address this gap include deploying mobile NADRA units and ECP outreach initiatives through community networks. These efforts aim to increase female voter registration ahead of the next general elections.
