Lahore: The University of Central Punjab (UCP) held its 28th convocation, celebrating the academic achievements of its Class of 2025. During the event, 2,109 degrees were conferred, including 22 PhDs, while 253 students received medals for academic excellence. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the graduates, who were recognized over two days at the UCP Campus.
According to University of Central Punjab, the convocation included multiple sessions, each featuring notable speakers. Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman of the Board of Governors at UCP, was the Chief Guest at the first session. Dr. Amjad Saqib, CEO of Akhuwat Foundation, served as Guest of Honour, urging graduates to contribute to society, especially in addressing educational disparities for children. He encouraged the graduates to maintain their dreams and pursue them with commitment.
Dr. Hamaad Naveed, Pro-Rector of UCP, highlighted the university's accomplishments in 2025. He mentioned the impact of the Student Services Centre, the entrepreneurial success of Takhleeq, and the achievements of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC). With numerous research publications, patents, and industry collaborations, UCP reinforced its dedication to academic and research excellence. The convocation celebrated the graduates' hard work and resilience, as they prepared to embark on new endeavors with confidence and purpose.
