University of Education’s Innovations Steal the Spotlight at Industrial Expo

Lahore: In a remarkable showcase of ingenuity, the University of Education (UE), Lahore, made waves at the 9th International Industrial Expo. Spearheaded by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), UE’s stall at the Expo Centre, Lahore, became a focal point for innovation with over 30 pioneering inventions on display.

These cutting-edge projects, crafted by the university’s adept students, highlighted a range of technological solutions aimed at tackling pressing real-world issues. Among the standout creations were a “smart accident-preventing helmet system”, an innovative “smart traffic light control system”, an “AI-based agriculture disease detection system”, a “lungs pumping system”, and a “fire detection system”. Each invention demonstrated a commitment to addressing global challenges through inventive technological approaches.

The UE stall drew a substantial crowd, including academics, pupils, and foreign delegates, all eager to witness the inventive prowess of the university’s budding researchers. A noteworthy moment was the visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, who commended the innovative efforts of the students.

During the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry expressed his pride, stating, “The participation of the University of Education in this international expo is a proud moment for us. Our students’ inventions demonstrate not only their academic brilliance but also their commitment to solving societal problems through innovation and technology.” He further emphasized the university’s dedication to fostering initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and industry, thereby unlocking opportunities for youth both on a national and international scale.
