UET Lahore Gears Up For Third Annual Seerah Conference

Islamabad: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore is set to host its third annual Seerah Conference, focusing on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event, titled “Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and 1500 Years of Prophetic Mercy,” will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Main Auditorium, Academic Block, Township Campus.

The gathering will be led by UET Lahore’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asif Anwar Chaudhry. Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI), Vice Chancellor of the University of Central Punjab, will be the chief guest.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, a distinguished Islamic scholar, will deliver the keynote address. Journalist and columnist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami will be the guest of honor.

Organized by the Department of Islamic Studies at UET’s Lower Mall Campus, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Rana Tanveer Qasmi, the conference has already been conducted successfully as it previously took place on September 18, 2025, at the University of Education, Lahore. The previous conference was presided over by VC Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry. The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir TI, the keynote speaker was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhary, and the honorable guest was Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami and Dr.Tanveer Qasim Rana

The program will feature presentations by scholars including Dr. Mufti Intekhab Ahmad Noori, Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Manj. They will explore various facets of the Prophet’s (PBUH) compassion, teachings, and their significance in the modern world.

The annual Seerah Conference seeks to enhance the understanding of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) enduring lessons among students, faculty, and attendees, fostering peace, unity, and empathy within the community.
