Food Asia Expo Explores Cutting-Edge Food Technologies

Islamabad: Experts and academics delved into the latest advancements in food technology at the Food Asia Expo Conference 2025 during a session titled “Pinnacle of Plate: Cutting-Edge Technologies in the Food Sector.” The collaborative effort, hosted by the University of Central Punjab’s (UCP) Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, along with Forman Christian College and the National Alliance for Safe Food, brought together leading figures in the field.

The session, chaired by Dr. Shinawar Waseem of Punjab University and co-chaired by Dr. Muhammad Jawad Iqbal of Minhaj University, featured presentations by several specialists including Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan, Dr. Ayesha Murtaza, Mr. Waleed Sultan, Ms. Hiba Naveed, Mr. Ahmad Faraz, Dr. Muhammad Nadeem, and Dr. Iahtisham-Ul-Haq. Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Director General of PCSIR, served as the chief guest and presented shields to participants.

The discussions focused on groundbreaking innovations in food technology and explored ways to enhance collaboration between academic institutions and the food industry.
