FCCU Partners With Fountain House To Boost Psychology Training

Islamabad: Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) and Fountain House have joined forces to provide enhanced clinical training and internship opportunities for psychology students. The agreement, formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will see FCCU’s MS and BS psychology pupils gain practical experience at Fountain House, a leading mental health rehabilitation center in Pakistan.

Fountain House, operating under the Lahore Mental Health Association, has been serving the community since 1971. This collaboration marks a significant step in bridging academic learning with real-world application in the mental health field.

The MoU signing took place on September 17, 2025, at FCCU. Rector Dr. Jonathan Addleton signed on behalf of the university, while Dr. Syed Imran Murtaza, Medical Superintendent, represented Fountain House. Several senior representatives from both organizations attended, including Dr. Douglas Trimble, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Usman Chaudhary, Executive Board Member of Fountain House.

FCCU emphasizes its dedication to experiential learning and community engagement. The institution believes this collaboration will significantly enhance students’ professional development and practical skills in mental healthcare.
