Islamabad: Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, joined a Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) meeting via video conference on August 19, 2025, to examine the proposed UET Narowal Act.

The session, led by PHEC Chairperson Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, also included Dr. Najeeb Ullah, Member S and T/ICT, Planning Commission, Islamabad, and a representative from the Higher Education Department. The assembly focused on the draft legislation for the establishment of UET Narowal. The details of the deliberations were not released.
