Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has voiced his deep concern over the devastating impact of the ongoing monsoon rains across Pakistan, particularly highlighting the severe consequences in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where significant fatalities and property losses have been reported.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the chairman pointed out that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has experienced the most considerable distress, with ten lives lost in the Kohat district alone. He underscored the challenges in remote areas where severe weather and limited communication facilities have left many incidents unreported and victims without necessary government assistance.
In his address, Chairman Bhutto Zardari expressed hope that the Punjab government would provide timely and unbiased aid to those affected. He also issued directives to all PPP assembly members to stay in their constituencies during this challenging period to manage and oversee relief operations. In Sindh and Balochistan, ministers, assembly members, and local government officials have been tasked with ensuring that relief efforts are effectively coordinated and that no affected individual misses out on government support.
Emphasizing solidarity and action, Chairman Bhutto Zardari called on PPP workers and supporters to actively participate in the relief efforts, aiding those hit hardest by the rains.
