Kashmir Black Day Highlights Ongoing Struggle Under Indian Rule, Says PTI Sindh President

Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh has highlighted Kashmir Black Day as a significant reminder of the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom and self-determination. Sheikh emphasized the need for international intervention to address alleged human rights violations in the region.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Sheikh issued a statement on October 27, marking the anniversary of the arrival of Indian troops in Kashmir in 1947, which led to prolonged hardships for the Kashmiri population. He raised concerns about alleged human rights abuses, including restrictions on civil liberties, arrests, and the use of force in the region.

Sheikh criticized efforts to suppress political expression and self-determination in Kashmir, calling for global attention to ensure fundamental rights and freedoms are protected. He also urged the implementation of United Nations resolutions as crucial for resolving the dispute and achieving peace in the region.

The PTI leader reiterated the party's support for the Kashmiri cause, advocating for a peaceful resolution that respects the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He called on the international community to show solidarity with Kashmiris and hold the Indian government accountable for human rights practices.
