Pakistan Cricket Board Releases Saim Ayub from ODI Squad

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Saim Ayub has been released from the Men's One Day International (ODI) squad for the remainder of the ongoing tri-series. This decision comes after Ayub expressed a desire to return to domestic cricket to focus on improving his batting form and rebuilding his confidence.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Saim Ayub's request followed a discussion with the head coach, wherein he candidly assessed his current form. The team management and national selection committee have agreed to release Ayub, respecting his decision. In response, the selection committee has appointed Sahibzada Farhan as his replacement for the remaining matches of the tri-series.

Pakistan, having secured a spot in the final after three successive victories, is scheduled to play against Sri Lanka in the fifth match of the tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday, 27 October.
