Islamabad, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has extended an open invitation to the Chief Minister of KP to collaborate on provincial matters, emphasizing that the Governor’s House belongs to everyone. This invitation was part of a broader discussion held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where Governor Kundi also advocated for several key budgetary and administrative changes to benefit the province.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Governor Kundi requested the Prime Minister to allocate a specific budget for the Chashma Lift Canal and expressed the need for a reduction in the property tax rates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are currently the highest in the region. He also proposed a 25 percent salary increase for government employees and pushed for international status for Sukkur Airport and Dera Ismail Khan Airport, noting that promises regarding the airports had already been made by Khawaja Saad Rafiq in the assembly.
In his remarks, Governor Kundi highlighted the necessity of working together to address the challenges facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including efforts to ensure peace and stability within the province. He reassured that the Governor’s House would remain free of political conspiracies and criticized the ongoing discussions about imposing Governor’s rule as unproductive.
Governor Kundi’s comments reflected a deep commitment to fostering a cooperative environment for the betterment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its residents, urging the Chief Minister to join efforts in tackling the province’s issues constructively.
