Pasban Democratic Party Calls for Enhanced Security and Financial Relief in Karachi

Karachi, The General Secretary of the Pasban Democratic Party, Iqbal Hashmi, has raised concerns over the security and economic challenges faced by the citizens of Karachi, particularly in light of the upcoming Eid al-Adha. He emphasized the need for enhanced safety measures at cattle markets and criticized the economic disparities among the city’s residents.

According to Pasban Democratic Party, Hashmi highlighted the division between different socio-economic groups in Karachi, especially criticizing the establishment of separate cattle markets for residents of upscale areas like Defense and Clifton. He pointed out that while these residents enjoy safer conditions for purchasing sacrificial animals, the majority of Karachi’s middle and lower classes face significant risks of robbery and violence at more remote markets. Hashmi also stressed the need for financial relief for those devastated by inflation and advocated for the purchase of animals through a secure online payment system to reduce the risk of theft.

Hashmi’s statement called for the Sindh government to take decisive actions to ensure the safety of all citizens during the festive period. He proposed the creation of a task force dedicated to the safety of those visiting cattle markets, in hopes of preventing the crimes that plagued buyers in previous years.
