Lahore, The Dramatics Society of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore captivated an audience with its annual “Drama Night and Skits ’24” event, showcasing a variety of performances that ranged from thought-provoking plays to entertaining mime acts.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the event, held on May 2, 2024, at the Main Auditorium Complex, featured four skits including ‘Afsos Hasil Ka,’ which critiqued the decline of literary culture due to non-merit-based appointments. ‘Kirdar Aur Kahani’ explored the life challenges of a writer who prioritizes character depth over simplistic storytelling, while ‘The Riddle’ and a mime act about a comical failed theft by two thieves named Alpha and Beta, added humor and artistic flair to the evening. The event concluded with a curtain call where the team coordinator introduced the entire team to the audience, and Dr. Anwar Latif, advisor of the UET Dramatics Society, met with alumni to discuss the performances.
