Indus Hospital and Health Network Collaborates with Jetpur Memon Association to Promote Women’s Health

Karachi, Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) participated in a Mother’s Day event organized by the Jetpur Memon Association’s Ladies Wing on Saturday, May 18, 2024. The event focused on raising awareness about critical health issues among women and featured a key session on “Women’s Health Over the Ages” by Dr. Fauzia Akhtar, a consultant at IHHN.

According to Indus Hospital and Health Network, Dr. Fauzia Akhtar addressed various health challenges that women face throughout their lives, such as diabetes, menstrual problems, and mental health issues. The session highlighted the importance of early screening and offered practical tips for maintaining a healthier lifestyle, engaging the audience in a meaningful dialogue about women’s health.

Following the presentation, IHHN’s Community Relations Department introduced ‘Indus Al Hasanah,’ a new initiative aimed at supporting treatment for women and children through mobilizing Zakat and Sadaqah. The initiative also encourages community members to become ambassadors for health, with several attendees signing up at the event.

IHHN expressed gratitude towards the Jetpur Memon Association (Ladies Wing) for facilitating this vital community engagement and is looking forward to further strengthening this collaboration to promote women’s health and wellbeing.
