Muzaffarabad, The Citizens Foundation (TCF) has elevated the TCF High School Bani Kumar Bandi School in Union Council Thiriyan Chanalbang to intercollegiate status, recognizing the institution’s significant contributions to education over 18 years. This upgrade comes alongside the establishment of additional health and vocational centers aimed at enriching the local community’s educational and professional opportunities.
According to The Citizens Foundation, the decision to upgrade the school was celebrated during the “Thank You TCF” function presided over by the principal of the Chamankotli Azim Khan and Kumarbandi East campus, Musarat Naqvi. The event drew numerous local community leaders, educators, and citizens who expressed gratitude for the organization’s continuous support. Notable attendees included General Secretary Youth Parliament and Speaker Assembly Public Relations Officer Chaudhry Murad Ali, Member District Council Azmat Awan, and various educational and legal experts.
During the event, speakers lauded TCF’s efforts in providing a superior educational environment and promoting extensive vocational training, particularly for women, in rural areas. Over 400 women are currently receiving training in various crafts such as shawl weaving and handicrafts, leading to gainful employment and contributing to the local economy.
The celebration also highlighted the critical role of education in character building, with Principal Musrat Naqvi emphasizing the comprehensive approach of TCF schools that integrate academic learning with moral and character education. The community acknowledged the transformative impact of these initiatives, which have significantly enhanced the quality of education and vocational training in the region.
