Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) inaugurated a comprehensive digitalization initiative for its asset and financial management systems at its City Campus on Tuesday. This digital overhaul, aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in financial operations, was unveiled by Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus along with key university officials.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus, during the inaugural ceremony, praised the collaborative efforts of the staff, faculty, and students that made this advancement possible. He emphasized that the new digital system would significantly benefit the university staff by improving transparency in financial reporting and streamlining the processing of bills.
Director of Information Technology Center, Mr. Rizwan Saleem, detailed the key features of the new system, which include enhanced management of expenditures, assets, and inventory; flawless financial operations; compliance with international and regional regulations; and an efficient financial module cost structure. He credited the development of this system to a two-year collaboration between the UVAS Directorate of Information Technology and the UVAS Treasurer’s Office.
The event also coincided with the 65th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB), presided over by Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus, highlighting the university’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology for academic and administrative excellence.
