Lahore, In an effort to support students in their academic and career endeavors, Forman Christian College organized its 12th Annual Advising Fair on February 27-28, 2024. Held on the college’s football ground, the event saw participation from all academic departments, including the “AAC Degree Audit Corner,” “Career Services,” and “International Education Offices.” These stalls were set up to offer guidance and facilitate the students visiting the fair. The event attracted seniors, juniors, freshmen, and sophomores over both days, providing them with valuable information on their respective majors and career paths, in addition to degree auditing services.

According to Forman Christian College, the fair was enriched by the presence of UNIV100 Advisors/Advisees and Writing Center Desks, adding a new dimension to the advising experience. This year, to celebrate more than a decade of annual advising fairs, additional support events were included to offer both advisors and advisees recreational activities alongside academic consultations. The aim was to foster a congenial, engaging, and friendly environment, which is deemed crucial for the holistic development of students.

The fair was graced by the visits of the college’s Rector, Vice-Rector, Associate Vice-Rector, Deans, and Heads of Academic Departments, who interacted with faculty advisors and provided their valuable feedback. This interaction between faculty and students offered a platform to discuss academic plans and broader goals that align with the core values and mission of Forman Christian College, emphasizing the development of responsible citizens of Pakistan and the world at large.

The Head of Faculty Advising expressed gratitude towards the Rector and Vice Rector of FCCU for their ongoing support and acknowledged the contributions of the academic departments, participants, and all stakeholders in making this the 12th successful in-person Annual Advising Fair, highlighting its historical significance and commendable attendance.
