Lahore, Siraj-ul-Haq, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, has announced a march to be held on March 10 from Islamabad’s Abpara Chowk to the American Embassy in support of the victims of Gaza. The march aims to draw attention to the plight of the Palestinian people and to protest against American support for Israeli actions in Gaza. The announcement comes amid growing concerns over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and criticism of the international community’s response.

According to Jamaat-E-Islami Pakistan, the march is part of a broader campaign by the party to advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people and to condemn the silence of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Islamic countries on the issue. Siraj-ul-Haq criticized the newly elected Prime Minister for not addressing the situation in Palestine in his inaugural speech and expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of the 2024 elections, accusing the election commission of rigging and calling for a judicial audit of the results.

The party leader also highlighted the ongoing genocide in Gaza, where over 30,000 people have been reported martyred, including 11,000 children, with 71,000 injured. Despite these figures and the presentation of 1,000 resolutions against Israeli atrocities at the United Nations, Haq stated that America continues to sponsor these atrocities.

Jamaat-e-Islami has been actively raising its voice for Gaza, organizing conferences, marches, and diplomatic outreach to Islamic countries to advocate for Palestine. The march in Islamabad is seen as a critical step in reiterating the party’s support for Gaza and calling on the international community, especially Islamic nations, to take a stronger stance against the oppression of the Palestinian people.

The party also acknowledged the efforts of Al-Khidmat Foundation in providing relief to the people of Gaza and thanked the nation for its support. The upcoming march is intended not only as a protest against the policies of the United States and Israel but also as a call to action for the leaders of Islamic countries to unite in support of Palestine.
