Lahore, The Department of Wildlife and Ecology at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore celebrated World Wildlife Day at its Ravi Campus in Pattoki, highlighting the theme ‘People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation’. The event underscored the importance of leveraging technology for the preservation of wildlife and emphasized the collective effort required to protect biodiversity in the digital age.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the day began with an awareness walk led by Dr. Arshad Javid, Chairman of the Department of Wildlife and Ecology. The walk saw enthusiastic participation from a wide range of individuals including professionals, faculty members, and students, aiming to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the crucial role of wildlife in sustaining planetary health.
