Karachi, Ziauddin University has announced the opening of admissions for its Master of Science (MS) in Healthcare Management and the Diploma in Healthcare Management (HCM) programs. These programs are designed to equip healthcare professionals with comprehensive skills in healthcare management, public health, and research.
According to Ziauddin University, the program offers a unique blend of coursework tailored to the demands of the healthcare sector, focusing on management, research, education, and system improvement. The 1.5/2.5 years blended program is structured into three to five semesters with weekend sessions to accommodate working professionals.
Under the guidance of Program Director Dr. Farah Ahmad and Co-Director Dr. Syed Hasan Danish, the program is positioned to provide a student-centered educational experience. The highlights of the program include its innovative curriculum, flexible course delivery tailored to healthcare professionals, and the expertise of faculty selected from all over Pakistan.
Eligibility for the program requires a Bachelor’s degree from an HEC recognized educational institution in medicine and allied health sciences, coupled with a minimum of 16 years of education and one year of post-qualification work experience. For the MS program specifically, applicants will need to pass the GAT test, conducted by Ziauddin University.
Key dates for applicants include the opening of the registration portal on March 1, 2024, and the deadline for submitting the admission form on March 25, 2024. The GAT admission test is scheduled for March 30, followed by interviews on April 5 and the commencement of the semester on April 20.
The university also emphasizes the practical training component, offering management training opportunities at Ziauddin Hospitals and affiliated institutes. This hands-on approach is intended to ensure graduates are well-prepared for leadership roles within the healthcare sector.
