Lahore, In a gripping finale, Pakistan WAPDA clinched the gold medal at the 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship 2024, outplaying Pakistan Army in a closely contested match. The event, which concluded at FC College Lahore, also saw the HEC team taking home the bronze medal, marking a significant conclusion to the championship.
According to Pakistan Federation Baseball, the final match showcased a high level of skill and competition between Pakistan Army and Pakistan WAPDA, with the latter emerging victorious with a score of 13-10. The championship was attended by notable guests including Mr. Shaukat Javed, President of the Pakistan Federation Baseball, who served as the Chief Guest for the final match. Other distinguished attendees comprised senior vice president, vice president, treasurer, executive director, and the media director of the federation, alongside a host of senior players who were present to support their teams.
The winning team, Pakistan WAPDA, displayed exceptional talent with players like Gul Feroza, Anila Rasheed, Madeeha Rasheed, and Umm-e-Hani making significant contributions to their team’s victory. Pakistan Army’s team also showcased commendable performance with players Maida Batool and Atiya Saif leading their scoring efforts.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Shaukat Javed, who congratulated the winners and participants for their outstanding performance throughout the championship.
