Virtual University Announces Merit-Based Scholarships for Continuing Students for Fall 2023

Lahore, The Virtual University of Pakistan has released the list of merit-based scholarships for continuing students for the Fall 2023 semester, as approved by the Management Committee for Scholarships. The announcement, made on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, highlights the university’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence and supporting students financially through their educational journey.

According to Virtual University of Pakistan, the scholarships have been awarded based on a rigorous selection process that considered both the semester GPA and merit position of the students. The scholarships cover a wide range of programs, including Biotechnology, Business Administration, Computer Science, and many others, reflecting the diversity of academic disciplines at the university.

The scholarship percentages range from 25% to 100% of tuition fees, depending on the students’ semester GPA and their merit position. For example, students who ranked 1 to 3 with a GPA between 3.85 to 4 were awarded a 100% scholarship. Similarly, students in positions 4 to 10 with the same GPA range received a 50% scholarship. This structured approach ensures that students who excel academically are duly recognized and rewarded.

The university has outlined specific criteria for the award of these merit scholarships, adhering to the Student Scholarship Regulations of 2015. This initiative underscores Virtual University’s dedication to fostering an environment that encourages academic achievement and supports students in their pursuit of higher education.

Students who have queries or notice any errors and omissions in the scholarship list are encouraged to reach out to the university via the designated email address, [email protected], within two weeks after the publication of the merit scholarship list.

This scholarship program is a testament to Virtual University’s ongoing efforts to promote educational excellence and provide financial assistance to deserving students, enabling them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
