Turbat, The University of Turbat (UoT) has initiated a comprehensive series of orientation sessions for its newly enrolled BS program students, spanning from 29th January to 16th February 2024. These sessions are designed to acquaint freshmen with the university’s academic environment, facilities, and policies, ensuring a smooth transition into their undergraduate studies.
According to University of Turbat, the orientation was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, who extended a warm welcome to all new students. In his address, he congratulated the students on securing admission based on merit and highlighted the university’s achievements in delivering quality education. He encouraged the students to embrace their educational journey with enthusiasm and an open mind, aiming for excellence in both their academic and personal lives.
The Vice Chancellor assured the students of the university administration and faculty’s commitment to providing comprehensive guidance, support, and resources for their academic and extracurricular engagement. He also praised the Directorate of Student Affairs for organizing the informative sessions aimed at helping students navigate their new academic environment effectively.
Resource persons including Mr. Muzaffir Hussain, Director of Student Affairs; Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC); Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examinations; and lecturers such as Mr. Jeand Baloch and Mr. Ganj Bakhsh, along with Muhammad Younus, contributed to the orientation. They covered essential topics such as semester and examination regulations, hostel accommodations, campus life, scholarship opportunities, and the university’s undergraduate education policy. Special emphasis was also placed on mental health, well-being, cleanliness, and green initiatives within the campus, reflecting UoT’s commitment to fostering a supportive and sustainable educational environment.
