Karachi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has extended his congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers of High Court Bar Associations across Pakistan. He commended the legal fraternity for their role in electing leaders who are committed to advancing justice and the rule of law in the country.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the PPP chairman recognized the election of key figures in various bar associations, including Riasat Ali Azad as President of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA), Asad Manzoor Butt as President of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), Ayaz Tunio of the High Court Bar Association Hyderabad (HCBAH), and Advocate Sajjad Haider Metla of the Multan High Court Bar Association (MHCBA), among others.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted the crucial role of bar associations in upholding the supremacy of the constitution and the principles of justice. He emphasized that the newly elected leaders bear the significant responsibility of maintaining the integrity of legal institutions and ensuring justice is accessible and prevalent.
Furthermore, the PPP chairman reiterated his party’s commitment to the constitution and the rule of law, recalling the PPP’s foundational role in creating the 1973 constitution. He expressed a desire for continued collaboration with the legal community to fortify the country’s democratic foundations and work towards a society where justice, equality, and the rule of law are paramount.
