Punjab University IBA Hosts Job Fair to Boost Career Opportunities for Students


Lahore, The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Punjab University took a significant step towards enhancing the employability of its students by organizing ‘Job Fair-24’, a pivotal event designed to bridge the gap between graduating students and potential employers. The fair, held on the IBA lawn, drew the presence of international and renowned national companies, providing a platform for students to explore and secure better career opportunities.



According to University of The Punjab, the opening ceremony saw the participation of Punjab University’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Dean Faculty of Business, Economics, and Administrative Sciences Prof Dr Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry, Director IBA Prof Dr Muqqadas Rehman, alongside faculty members and a large student turnout. Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood lauded the job fair for its role in guiding students towards their future careers and commended Prof Dr Muqqadas Rehman for the successful organization of the event. Prof Dr Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry highlighted the event’s significance, noting the pleasure of seeing alumni represent companies at the fair.



With 60 companies participating, the fair received an overwhelmingly positive response, underscoring the importance of fostering cooperation between educational institutions and industries. Prof Dr Muqqadas Rehman emphasized that such collaboration could lead to the betterment of Pakistan’s economy and benefit the younger generation, marking a step forward in aligning academic preparation with market demands.
