Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Advocates for People, Farmers, Workers, and Youth in Election Campaign

Bhalwal, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a large rally in Bhalwal, articulating the party’s commitment to representing the interests of the people, farmers, workers, and youth in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the PPP’s dedication to resolving issues of poverty, unemployment, inflation, and the crises in democracy and society.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari, while speaking to a large crowd despite adverse weather, condemned the politics of division and hatred that have fragmented Pakistani society. He reaffirmed the PPP’s resolve to move beyond such divisive politics, focusing instead on the welfare of farmers, laborers, and the youth. Zardari criticized other political parties for their lack of concern for these issues, accusing them of seeking power for personal gain rather than implementing meaningful policies.

Zardari outlined the PPP’s comprehensive social and economic charter, a ten-point program aimed at addressing the nation’s crises. This program includes doubling salaries after coming to power, providing 300 units of free electricity to deserving people, building 30 lakh houses across the country with women ownership, regularizing slums, expanding the Benazir Income Support Program, and providing interest-free loans to women.

In agriculture, the PPP plans to issue Kisan Cards to farmers, offering financial aid and crop insurance. Zardari also mentioned Social Security through Mazdoor Cards and highlighted former President Zardari’s compensation to farmers, which enabled wheat and sugar exportation.

Zardari appealed to the youth to recognize the power of their vote and promised to provide training and jobs to educated but unemployed youth. He reiterated the PPP’s commitment to eradicating hunger and extending free healthcare facilities across Punjab, as done in Sindh. The party also plans to construct health institutions and universities in major cities.

The PPP chairman assured that the party’s promises are not empty, unlike those of other parties. He recalled the fulfilled commitments of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto and urged the public to reject traditional politics. Zardari expressed the PPP’s ambition to make Pakistan a modern state that cares for its citizens and predicted a government formation with independent candidates, with PML-N in opposition.

The PPP campaign, led by Zardari, is marked by direct engagement with the people across the country, emphasizing a shift away from traditional politics and a focus on empowerment and development.
