Lahore, The Institute of Microbiology (IOM) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore conducted a Medical Lab Technology Pre-Internship Seminar at the City Campus, aimed at preparing graduating students for their upcoming internships.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the seminar’s inaugural session was chaired by Prof Dr. Kamran Ashraf, Chairman of the Department of Parasitology. The event was attended by Director (IOM) Prof Dr. Aftab Ahmad Anjum, Dr. Shahan Azeem, and numerous faculty members and students. Guest speakers from Hameed Latif Hospital, Head of the Department Laboratories Dr. Salma Haq and General Manager Human Resource Muhammad Ali Khan, delivered informative lectures to UVAS graduates from the Medical Lab Technology (MLT) program. Their presentations focused on personal grooming, ethics, and the responsibilities students will face during their internships.
The primary goal of this seminar was to provide an overview of the organizations offering internships and to equip graduating MLT students with the knowledge and skills necessary for better job prospects and professional growth. This event marks a significant effort by UVAS to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their entry into the workforce.
