Lahore, Students from Punjab University have emerged victorious in the All Pakistan Intervarsity Chess Championship, showcasing their strategic prowess in the game of chess. The tournament, hosted by Liaqat University Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshooro, witnessed a remarkable performance by the PU team.
According to University of The Punjab, the winning team comprised students Zaman Sohail, Ahmad Mubarak, Ali Akber, and Barkat Ali. Their victory in the prestigious chess championship highlighted their exceptional skills and strategic planning in the game. Assistant Director Sports Muhammad Nabeel served as the team manager, with Waseem Akram providing guidance as the coach.
The championship was a significant event, attracting as many as 20 universities from across Pakistan. The participation of numerous institutions underscored the event’s importance in the realm of university-level sports and competitions in the country.
