Lahore, Liaqat Baloch, Naib Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, candidate for National Assembly from NA-123 and NA-128 Lahore, and Chairman of the Central Election Cell, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Iran, coinciding with the anniversary of Qassem Soleimani’s martyrdom. In a statement during an election convention and central election advisory meeting, he attributed the act of terrorism to American and Israeli influences.
According to Jamaat-E-Islami Pakistan, Baloch expressed his condolences and solidarity with the people of Iran, labeling the United States and Israeli Zionists as the instigators of global terrorism. He specifically accused Israel of being involved in the terrorist incident in Kerman, Iran, on the occasion of Qassem Soleimani’s anniversary.
Baloch also highlighted the ongoing plight of the people in Gaza, Palestine, who he said are continuously victimized by Israeli and American terrorism. He criticized the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for their inaction and incapacity to address these issues. Baloch warned that without curbing Israeli Zionist oppression, global unrest and terrorism could escalate.
Turning to the internal security situation in Pakistan, Baloch expressed concern over the frequent terrorist incidents in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He condemned the recent targeted attack on Mohsin Dawar’s convoy and emphasized the need for a national consensus to implement the National Action Plan effectively. He called for the security forces to address their weaknesses and unite against the threat of terrorism.
Furthermore, Baloch drew attention to the plight of families of missing persons from various regions of Pakistan who are protesting in Islamabad. He criticized the caretaker government, judiciary, and civil-military establishment for their lack of response to this humanitarian issue. Baloch urged that the problem be addressed with seriousness and empathy rather than state force, to avoid manipulation by anti-national and destabilizing forces within Pakistan.
