Islamabad, The Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) recently organized a session on “Criminality, Extremism and Narcotics,” featuring DIG Shoaib Khurram, Capital Police Officer, Safe City and Traffic, Islamabad, as the guest speaker. This event was hosted by the CUST Character Building Club, providing students with critical insights into various crimes associated with extremism, narcotics, and criminality.
According to Capital University of Science and Technology, DIG Shoaib Khurram offered an in-depth presentation on the practical workings of the Islamabad Police in these areas. The session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and understanding of the causes and implications of criminality, extremism, and narcotics-related crimes.
Furthermore, DIG Khurram discussed the measures taken by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police to address and mitigate crimes arising from such factors. His talk provided a comprehensive overview of the challenges and strategies employed in combating these complex and interconnected issues.
The session concluded with a Q and A, allowing students to engage directly with the topic and the speaker. Dr. Amir Qayyum and Dr. Noor Muhammad Khan from the University facilitated the event, concluding with a shield presentation to the guest speaker in recognition of his valuable contribution.

Jamshoro, The University of Sindh has appointed Dr. Altaf Nizamani, the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, as the focal person for the Chief Minister of Sindh’s Public Grievance Cell in Jamshoro.
According to University of Sindh, this appointment was made by the Sheikh Al Jamia Sindh, Professor (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro. Additionally, Registrar Professor Dr. Mushtaq Ali Jariko has issued an official notification confirming Dr. Nizamani’s new role.
