Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Champions Heart Health on World Heart Day

MUZAFFARGARH, In an initiative to prioritize heart health, Indus Hospital and Health Network’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Muzaffargarh held a seminar and awareness walk in conjunction with World Heart Day. The Cardiology Services Department spearheaded the effort to disseminate crucial information on heart disease prevention and treatment.

According to the Indus Hospital and Health Network press release, the educational event sought to inform the public on recognizing heart disease symptoms, understanding its causes, and adopting preventative measures. Dr. Irfan Javed, Head of Campus, accentuated the urgency of seeking medical help for symptoms like chest pain or difficulty in breathing. Dr. Mohammad Zaman, Head of Cardiology Services, advised on lifestyle changes such as reducing salt consumption, avoiding saturated fats, and engaging in regular exercise to mitigate the risk of heart-related conditions.

The seminar and walk drew participation from an array of hospital staff, including Waqar Ahmed, Head of Operations, Dr. Shiraz Hassan Bhutta, Faculty Chair, Dr. Gauhar Nawaz Khan, Head of Orthopedics, and several physicians and administrative staff, signifying a collective commitment to combating heart disease.
