LAHORE, The Times Higher Education has recently placed Punjab University at the pinnacle in Pakistan in the academic disciplines of social sciences, education, and psychology. The new rankings this year saw Pakistani Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) gauged in a total of nine distinct subjects.

According to the University of the Punjab, the commendable ascent of the university in global rankings began in earnest in 2018 when a specialized ranking committee was instituted under the stewardship of Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood. PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood has articulated his optimism that the faculty and students in the highlighted disciplines will remain focused on preserving their premier status among Pakistani HEIs. The Vice Chancellor attributed this achievement to the unwavering commitment of the faculty, students, and administrative staff.
