Islamabad, The Virtual University of Pakistan held peaceful walks at three of its locations to mark Kashmir Black Day and display solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The walks took place at the VU head office in Islamabad, the M.A. Jinnah campus, and the Lawrence Road Campus, both in Lahore.
According to a news release by Virtual University of Pakistan, the walk at the Islamabad head office was led by the Rector of VUP, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti. During the event, he voiced concerns over the situation in Kashmir and emphasized the importance of acknowledging the rights of the Kashmiri people. At the M.A. Jinnah campus, the march was spearheaded by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mohsin Javed, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, while the Lawrence Road Campus walk was jointly led by the respective Heads of Departments.
Participants from the university staff held placards and banners advocating for Kashmir’s freedom, unitedly chanting the slogan, “Make Kashmir Free”. The events underscored the university’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri cause and the desire for a peaceful existence for its inhabitants.
