Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:Director General Sports Punjab, Dr. Asif Tufail, has declared cash prizes and appreciation certificates for Tehsil Sports Officers (TSOs) to expedite the club registration process across the province. On Monday, Dr. Tufail emphasized the importance of TSOs in efficiently working towards the registration of sports clubs within their respective tehsils. He indicated that the Sports Board Punjab initiated the club registration process at the tehsil level from October 10, adhering to its mandate of encouraging grassroots level sports.

Dr. Tufail highlighted the vital role of active sports clubs in nurturing sports enthusiasm among the youth. He urged tehsil sports officers to not only form new clubs but also to ensure the registration of existing ones. He further advised all TSOs to consistently update their performance reports concerning new clubs and present them during the weekly review meetings every Friday. The top ten TSOs, based on their achievements in both registering existing clubs and establishing new ones, are set to be recognized with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. Additionally, Dr. Tufail provided directions regarding the Punjab International Swimming Complex, emphasizing adherence to best practices for swimmers and members. He stressed that access to the swimming pool should be restricted solely to swimmers, members, and affiliated swimming clubs. Furthermore, the full implementation of SOPs within the Punjab International Swimming Complex was underscored.
