Islamabad, 17 Oct 2023:On the 16th anniversary of the Karsaz tragedy, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, lauded the martyrs, asserting their sacrifices have solidified an undying chapter in history that underscores the nation’s unwavering resolve to uphold democracy.

In the press release disseminated by the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bilawal noted that the profound anguish and indignation from the harrowing event remain vivid in the nation’s collective memory. He commemorated the 180 individuals martyred, extending the Party’s unwavering solidarity to their families while appreciating their resilience and valour.

Drawing attention to the nefarious alliance of dictatorship and terrorism, the PPP Chairman highlighted its antagonism towards civilization and humanity. Bilawal recalled October 18, 2007, marking the return of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto from exile, as the reinvigoration of Pakistani democracy. He emphasized her goal of establishing Pakistan as a powerhouse of democracy and economy by extending fundamental rights and job opportunities to the marginalized.
