University of the Punjab Joins Celebration of World Animal Day

Lahore, 16 Oct 2023: The Punjab University Department of Zoology marked World Animal Day with active participation from its faculty and students. The event, organized by Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department, aimed to highlight the importance of animal rights, welfare, and conservation. Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, representing Punjab University, emphasized the day’s significance in raising awareness and advocating for the well-being of animals globally.

Director General Wildlife Mubeen Elahi, Muddasar Hassan, Dr. Waseem from the Pakistan Wildlife Foundation, and Dr. Atif were among the key speakers at the event. Dr. Zulfiqar elucidated that World Animal Day serves as a platform to unite various animal welfare movements. Its ultimate goal is to generate a collective force dedicated to improving the world for all animals.
