Karachi, September 23, 2023 (PPI-OT):Shamrez Ali, PhD Scholar of Economics department successfully defended his PhD thesis titled ‘Empirical Essays on Export Sophistication’. Dr. Qaiser Munir, Professor, Department of Economics, and SESS. supervised the thesis.

Dr. Baber Hussain, Assistant Professor, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Professor Dr. Abdul Waheed, Chairman, Department of Economics, University of Karachi (UoK) were the External Examiners, who provided valuable insights and perspectives during the defense.

The session was well attended, with the presence of faculty and fellow PhD scholars, adding depth to the discussions.
