Islamabad, A recent survey by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan has found that a significant majority of Pakistanis believe the current caretaker government has been unsuccessful in addressing and reducing inflation in the country.
According to a news release by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the poll involved a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from all over Pakistan. The respondents were posed with the question, “In your opinion, how successful has the current caretaker government been overall in reducing the following issues in the country? – Reducing inflation.” In response, a mere 6% believed the government had been ‘very much’ successful, while 16% felt they were ‘somewhat’ successful. Conversely, 74% expressed the opinion that the caretaker government had not been successful ‘at all’. The remaining 4% of participants either did not know or opted not to respond to the query.
The results highlight a widespread sentiment among the population regarding the government’s inability to control one of the most pressing economic issues faced by the nation.
