Karachi: A group of 35 women cricketers is poised to embark on a four-week skills and fitness camp in Karachi, starting December 21, as they gear up for a series of international engagements.
The training initiative, part of the Pakistan women’s team’s preparation for their upcoming tour of South Africa, will be held at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre. The camp aims to enhance the players’ skills and overall fitness through comprehensive sessions and practice matches under the guidance of academy coaches.
The selected players recently competed in the National Women’s One-Day Tournament in Faisalabad. Their inclusion in the camp underscores a strategic focus on readying the team for an international season that includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in South Africa from February 10 to March 1.
The roster features prominent cricketers such as Aliya Riaz, Anam Amin, and Muneeba Ali, among others, who will undergo intensive training to refine their capabilities ahead of the forthcoming challenges.
