Beaconhouse and Aitchison Clash in PCB-Ghani Glass Cricket Final

Lahore: Beaconhouse School and Aitchison College are set to face each other in the final of the PCB-Ghani Glass 40-over School Cricket Tournament at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday. The much-anticipated match will commence at 12 p.m., preceded by the toss at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament promises an exciting conclusion with a fireworks display and a concert by singer Havi planned after the match. The victors will receive a prize of PKR 1 million, while the runners-up will earn PKR 500,000. Individual awards include PKR 75,000 for the player of the tournament and PKR 25,000 for the player of the final.

Fans can enjoy free entry to four general enclosures, while a special enclosure is designated for Beaconhouse and Aitchison students and alumni. The match will be broadcast live on Fast Sports and streamed online, ensuring broad accessibility.

The tournament began on November 1 with eight participating schools competing in a round-robin format. Aitchison, Beaconhouse, The City School, and Gohar Education advanced to the semi-finals held on November 28 and 29. The finalists have each secured seven victories out of eight matches.

Key players include Aitchison’s Ali Badshah, leading with 730 runs, and Beaconhouse’s Hamza Baloch, who has scored 438 runs. In bowling, Umar Naveed of Crescent Grammar School and Aitchison’s Sudais Alam have each taken 16 wickets, with Ayyan Salman Butt of Beaconhouse close behind with 15 wickets.
